Okay, so WangJi has a few powers that might affect characters in unexpected ways. Most of those are based off music that he plays on the guqin (and potentially a lot of other instruments, since his sect's Thing is music) and infuses with spiritual energy. It might not seem like much, but he's been using the zither for a while, infusing it with a lot of energy (he fought a war with that thing as at least secondary weapon); and also, his sect has been collecting songs of power for generations and he's been the star pupil, along with his brother, since he was a child.

So. Two categories:
Powers that affect the living
* Silencing spell: Doesn't require the guqin. He can cast it silently and from a distance. Wears off on its own after thirty minutes.
* Acupuncture - requires actual physical contact. Can cause various effects from healing to full body paralysis. He is not fully trained as a healer, but he is field-work proficient.
* Song of Clarity, Song of Lucidity - require the guqin and also time to work - bring clarity of mind, settle the mind, body, and soul against great disturbance / early onset qi deviation.
* Transferring of spiritual energy - also requires physical contact - this is strictly assisting akin to healing, though it's mostly strengthening of the overall state.

Powers that affect the undead
* Direct attacks - those are mostly chords he plays which can stop, push back, and suppress undead entities.
* Song of Evocation - calling up specific spirits. (This ... has mostly been shown as a failure in a specific case in canon, so I'm not sure how it would work if successful, but. Need to mention it.)
* Song of Rest - calms down resentful energy in an undead entity. Basically sedative.
* Song of Inquiry - in its fully powered form, compels an undead entity that is already present to answer the questions posed and answer them truthfully. WangJi is shown to have mastered both by his mid-thirties, but as he's not at that age yet and his practice of that particular one is just beginning, I'll say he can only compel honesty, but not answers.

Overall, WangJi is very strict in adhering to principles in using those powers - act only when there is danger; try to pacify first; if that fails, suppress; only if that fails, attempt to destroy. In an emergency situation, his default go-to is repel/suppress, not actually trying to harm. But still, things to keep in mind.
